JOB SUMMARY

The Front Desk Supervisor will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the hotel. In general FD Supervisors provide basic direction and guidance to associates on day to day basis. Our FD Supervisors will also assist with associate training and are able to perform all duties assigned to associates.

JOB DUTIES

  • Must be willing to work on weekends.
  • Reviews reports from prior day's business to ensure the day was closed properly and balanced; completes daily reports.
  • Conducts guest registry audit to assure accurate and complete check in and renewal processes.
  • Ensures that all rooms due to be cleaned or have maintenance completed have properly been assigned to the team.
  • Assist in responding to guest concerns and resolves problems timely.
  • Requisitions as necessary front desk supplies, tools and equipment etc.
  • Coordinates and conducts associate training and development.
  • Renders lockout decisions and assists General Manager with evictions.
  • Independently evaluate guest/hotel concerns and implement solutions to effectively resolve issues.
  • Maintains visibility and availability to guests and staff.
  • Assist General Manager as needed with Sales initiatives for the hotel.
  • Cover front desk shifts that are not covered due to associate expected/unexpected absences.
  • Trains new personnel as required.
  • Maintains key control.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Prior hospitality experience with basic Knowledge of competitive markets preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum.
  • Occasional twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
  • Frequent smiling.
